Sometimes you just have to go for it!

My love for thrifting goes way back. When I was little I went thrifting all the time with my grandmother: yard sales, Goodwill's, etc. In 2023, my husband and I bought our first home. I was so excited to decorate, but didn't want to spend too much money. This is when my love for thrifting was reestablished.

Fast forward to a few months ago, I started becoming more involved on TikTok and my for you page became filled with "Thrift Tok" videos. This is what inspired me to start my own thrift page in April of 2024. Since then it has been a wild, fun, busy ride! My page started with me selling a few finds here and there, and in June I started doing mystery thrift bundles. What this entails is thrifting items for people based on an interest form they submit where they tell me what they're looking for/what their aesthetic is, and I go out and find items for them at thrift stores and antique malls. They receive a box of items where they have no idea what is in inside. It's a fun surprise!

In June of 2024 I had a customer do an unboxing of their mystery bundle on TikTok and it went viral, resulting in an influx of mystery bundle orders and followers to my Instagram page: @hellogorgeousthrifts. (Currently I am still working through that list of orders.)

This new endeavor of mine has now turned into a small business. I am so incredibly thankful to get to do something that I enjoy so much. I have connected with so many amazing people because of this. While it can be a lot to manage at times with a full time job, busy life outside of work, and then doing this part time, it has been so fun and a creative outlet.

This small business would not be what it is today without the support and help from my husband Andrew, but also my followers and friends I have made along the way. So many great things to come with Hello Gorgeous Thrifts!
