My Fall and Winter Fashion Favorites

Trendy items I think you should have in your closet during fall and winter.

Shackets

Last year I was really into plaid shackets, but this year I made sure I got some neutral, solid colored shackets as well. (Ironically, none are pictured here). Shackets keep you warm and are really cute over a dress, or styled with jeans and a neutral undershirt. They are very trendy.

Oversized and Neutral Sweaters

A must simply because they are so comfy. If you have to run an errand they can be styled with leggings, or if you want to dress them up you can wear with a nice pair of jeans, a skirt, etc.

Sweater Vests

I hopped on this trend last year and now I have them in many colors and styles. I often wear them on their own, with a white button-up underneath, or a white turtleneck.

Cardigans

These have really grown on me. I think its because in the South it doesn't really get too cold to need a jacket most days, so you can just throw a cardigan on for a little additional warmth and you're good to go. When you find one that has a cute pattern or a design, even better!

Booties/Knee High Boots

Both fashionable and functional, you need both. While a good majority of the boots in my closet are for fashion purposes, I make sure to have a few that serve functional purposes as well. Neutral colored boots can be styled many ways, so you should always aim to have the basic neutral colors: black, brown, and white. Always make sure you have some that are comfortable too. Tweed

A popular fall and winter material. Tweed dresses, skirts, and hats are really cute. Perfect for a brunch with the girls or casual date night.

Graphic Sweaters/Sweatshirts

This year I purchased a good amount of graphic sweaters for Christmas. Aren't they just so cute and fun?

Utility Jacket

After spending a day in the snow with mine, I realized that not only is it a cute jacket option, but it keeps you warm as well. Mine was purchased online with Forever 21 but I have also found some very cute options on Amazon.
